Beth and Alex's Wedding - 5.28.17 - Athens, GA

Welcome to our wedding page!

I was pretty overwhelmed with all the pre-made wedding site stuff, so I decide to just make a page on my website. It isn't super fancy, but hopefully clear and easy to understand. If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Email is generally best for me (beth@bethcyr.com) or Alex (alexander.kroh@gmail.com)

We sent evites through paperless post that include the method for RSVP - if you did not receive an email, please let us know. If possible, please let us know by March 1st.

Wedding block info: Because of the holiday weekend, 2 of the 3 weren't able to offer a wedding block. The 3rd that was able to have a small block, the price wasn't better than what you can book on your own, in fact, it was a little more expensive. So we are suggesting to book early if you know you will be able to make it.

You might also consider Air bnb options, if coming as a group it can be less expensive though probably not as close.

Registry:

We have requested no material gifts. We'll be selling many of our current belongings and putting the rest in storage as preparation to move to the west coast. If you can't bear the thought of not giving us your great gift, we will gladly accept, of course! But we're in the process of paring down our belongings, not trying to accumulate more. Unless it is food or beverage, in which case, bring it!

Alternatively, we are saving for a down payment on a house/property in northwestern Washington with plans to establish an apple orchard and cidery and of course a fabulous jewelry and pottery studio. We're planning to make the move this fall, though purchasing land may not happen immediately. If making a donation towards our future home (and your future vacation destination) sounds tempting - you can check out our Thankful Registry. (password is bethandalex)

If you would prefer to not donate online, we will gladly accept cash or checks.

Other things we're not doing:

No wedding colors, no special flowers, no formal sit down meal or first dances, no walking down an aisle, no bridesmaids or groomsmen or bouquet throwing (not even having a bouquet)

Things we are doing:

Feeling the love, spending time with family and friends, appreciating you, eating some yummy food and desserts, composting and recycling, playing games, enjoying life, having some laughs, getting married! And probably taking a bunch of pictures.

*artwork story: last year I was involved in a "make a day" challenge, this year it is simply a drawing a day. I started similar drawings last year and they've evolved even more over the past few weeks. Many include "tree buddies", real constellations and star trails. I don't normally name them, but this one I called "Two Libras are better than one". (Alex's birthday is the day before mine) - there are two Libra constellations in the sky and the trees are looking out over the Olympic mountains in Washington state, not too far from where we hope to be living by the end of the year.
