Meteorite Pendant with Rainbow Moonstone/White Labradorite and Spiral in Sterling Silver - Ready to Ship
This magical pendant in sterling silver subtly frames the contours of the meteorite and encases the beautiful rainbow moonstone (also known as white labradorite). I just love the look of labradorite paired with the meteorite. I had been working on a wax for a wedding band that wasn't quite right and for fun I twisted it in to a spiral. I loved how the spiral looked and felt like it called to be a pendant with these other elements (which were initially going to be made in to a ring). It reminds me a bit of a magic wand made from a unicorn horn.
Just imagine where this meteorite has been! Perhaps it has seen your favorite planet up close or maybe even a distant undiscovered galaxy. When it eventually crashed to earth it shattered into fragments that all have unique shapes and textures.

Ever wonder what the difference is between a meteor, meteoroid and a meteorite?
A meteoroid is the space debris/particle, perhaps from an asteroid or comet
A meteor is the flash of light we see as it comes through the earth's atmosphere (shooting star) and the meteorite is what survives!
Most meteoroids are so small they can't make it through the atmosphere and are completely vaporized.
