For day 29, jumping back to the centers with a focus on the Spleen center.
Some of the centers seem very straight forward to me and the Spleen center is not one of them! haha! In the traditional 7 center Chakra system the spleen is half of the Solar Plexus. The idea is that there was an energetic split and the Spleen and the Emotional Solar Plexus make up the two parts of the 3rd Chakra. Maybe this is part of why it feels a little less clear to me.
The spleen center has a variety of themes also - survival, intuition, health/immune system, fear, self actualization. Which in a way, all kind of boil down to a more primal/survival energy.
I have this center defined and my partner has this undefined.
The things I seem to witness between people that have this defined vs undefined... People with it defined tend towards being more cautious, painted as being more fearful or careful, survival feels more important and like a connected awareness. The carefulness doesn't seem to be an issue for the person with the defined spleen center, but often seems to be an issue for the person who has it undefined. (perhaps they're projecting a sense of amplified fear/survival energy that is more than what the defined spleen person is actually experiencing)
People with undefined spleens seem to be a bit more fearless. The deeper survival instincts don't seem to be there in the same way that they do for people with defined spleens.
I feel like this is where it can feel challenging in relationships as someone with a defined spleen may want to be a bit more careful and the person with the undefined may view them as too safe or cautious (speaking from a past relationship experience)
On the level of intuition, it is taught that people with a defined spleen are more connected to intuition, though I don't feel like that aligns with my experience. Everyone can be connected to intuition and get strong intuitive hits.
Something to note that can be interesting is for someone who has a defined sacral center and a defined ESP, there can essentially be 3 different messaging systems - emotional response, sacral response and splenic response. Learning to discern between the different messages can be really helpful and also challenging.
I have wondered if those with splenic authority may have the best understanding because there isn't quite the competitive responses from the sacral center or ESP.
In the realm of the immune system/health, the idea is that the defined spleen tends more towards being a bit more robust but also a bit less sensitive. Someone with an undefined spleen may be more sensitive, which could show up as either getting sick more often or just noticing the nuances of their healthy more easily. Potentially a deeper sense of how certain foods or supplements may affect them. There is also the idea that someone with a defined spleen may not notice something happening (like getting sick) until they're really sick. There are aspects of this I can see in my partner and I and other aspects that don't seem to ring true.
So looking at all these different areas, what does it mean to be in relationship with the opposing definition? I would simply say it is an energy to discuss how they feel for each person. What feels true for each person on the topic of intuition, survival, fear, connection to physical health?
If you're in relationship (partner, parent/child, coworker) do you know if you or your partner have a defined or undefined spleen center? If so, what is your perspective/experience?
