Your Stand-In Best Friend
A new offering - but nothing new
What is Your Stand-In Best Friend?
You’re going through a break up or divorce, a big transition or a new project people around you just don’t seem to have time to support. Most likely there is some level of grief being experienced, even if the transition is an exciting one. There's usually grief when we leave an old version of ourselves behind and leap into the unknown.
I’m there for you, your stand-in, temporary best friend (not your therapist) supporting you in your vision for the future, holding your metaphorical hand through the hard times if you need it, believing in you if your belief waivers, holding space for your fear, grief, joy and excitement, cheering you on when you’re celebrating the wins others might just causally say “yeah, cool” about.
I love supporting people moving forward into the unknown. It can be a really exciting time, even if it is also filled with sadness or fear.
I'm naturally inclined towards being someone's friend, I attune well to other's needs, I can see them clearly and feel energies that can't quite be explained.
This a new offer and each client will get to build their own support package.

Everyone's situation is unique and yet, we all often go through many of the same experiences.
Jordan recently ended a relationship with their best friend, the person they thought they were going to marry. It's been hard even though it was their decision and they know it is the best. Jordan misses the daily contact and check ins with another person and find they keep reaching towards their phone to text their former best friend. Jordan has great friends, but they're also tired of talking about their ex all the time and most of the friends have kids and are busy at the times most convenient to Jordan.
Logan is working on a book. She has been working on it for the past year and it's been really hard. None of her close friends are writers and her family doesn't really get what she's doing. She's made some connections with other writers, but they equally want her to give them feedback and encouragement and it's all she can do to make time for herself to write before work each day. She feels alone and adrift sometimes, even though she knows she wants to finish the book, it just feels like it is taking forever and she'd love some support and encouragement for when her brain starts getting disgruntled.
Addison has found himself to be an empty-nester. His child left for college a few months ago and there seems to be a void that has been hard to fill. Since being a single father, he and his child were really close and any free time was spent with his child. There is both excitement and grief for the new path. Addison is self employed and just doesn't connect with his acquaintances enough to talk with them about feeling a bit lost in this new transition. He has no desire to date, doesn't feel like he needs a therapist, but would like to be able process this new life with someone.
